Elon Musk’s Tesla and SpaceX Join 67 Firms Rejecting OKXICE Tokenised Stocks
Elon Musk's Tesla and SpaceX join 67 companies rejecting OKXICE tokenized stocks as his Hyperliquid reaction adds another twist.

Brief
Tesla and SpaceX, both led by Elon Musk, are now among 67 firms objecting to a planned OKXICE tokenised stocks venue. The latest update added Palantir, S&P Global, KLA, Super Micro Computer and Meta. Of the 62 companies first selected, 56 have objected, while Boeing and ServiceNow have also objected to proposed symbols, leaving eight of 63 symbols without a disclosed opt-out. The joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange would offer tokenised US shares that trade round-the-clock, settled in stablecoins like USDC, through pools of liquidity restricted to permitted users on OKX's X Layer network. The SEC's temporary Innovation Exemption lets issuers object within 30 days to block a venue from listing their tokenised shares, though firms can still pursue their own tokenisation arrangements.
Why it matters: The objections leave open which large US equities could ultimately reach the venue, making it a closely watched test for tokenised shares.
