3 Signals That Could Shape Bitcoin’s Next Move After Binance Hack
The hacker moving the stolen funds could create localized selling pressure while also making their recovery and attribution harder.

Dextape brief
After a $6.3 billion hack at Binance last week, market watcher CryptosRus pointed to three areas that could shape Bitcoin's next moves: spot ETF flows, exchange withdrawals, and the attacker's movement of stolen funds. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded outflows of $202.59 million and $431.53 million last week. Binance reopened less than 72 hours after the breach, with users reportedly withdrawing about $4.65 billion and depositing just over $1 billion, a net outflow the report says equals slightly more than 2% of holdings. On-chain investigators said the attacker moved about $242 million through cross-chain services. The analyst said withdrawals would become systemic only if they accelerated or stablecoin liquidity contracted, and noted Bitcoin traded near $78,000.
Why it matters: It shows how exchange hacks may spill into institutional fund flows and exchange liquidity, two channels crypto readers track when assessing market conditions.
