ZetaChain Targets Dec. 9 to Switch Off Its Blockchain and Move ZETA to Solana
Holders approved the wind-down in September, and the follow-up vote setting the date and claim rules has cleared quorum with nearly every vote a yes so far. Wrapped or liquid-staked ZETA has to come out before the snapshot.

Dextape brief
ZetaChain is moving toward shutting down its own layer 1 blockchain around December 9, based on Proposal 70, which has reached quorum with almost all votes in favor. The proposal sets the final block at 20,755,000 and describes how ZETA will transfer to Solana. Voting closes on November 7, cutoff 11:12 a.m. ET, and as of Thursday afternoon roughly 256.1 million ZETA backed the proposal while about 420 ZETA opposed it. Unchained estimated turnout near 67.4% of bonded tokens. Holders with at least 10 ZETA at the snapshot can claim Solana tokens through a portal that opens December 9, but only after security firm Hacken publishes its review of the Solana program. Wrapped ZETA and pool deposits cannot be claimed through the portal, while exchange balances convert without customer action.
Why it matters: The move shows ZetaChain shifting from running its own chain toward AI products, and it changes how ZETA holders will need to claim their tokens on Solana.
