Bitcoin giant Strategy, unfazed by Binance hack, adds over $65 million BTC to its holdings
The corporate crypto bull’s latest buying run coincided with hackers draining $6.3 billion from Binance.

Dextape brief
Strategy, the Bitcoin holder led by Michael Saylor, said Monday it bought over $65 million in Bitcoin in the past week, its biggest acquisition since late September. The buying ran from October 26 through November 1, adding 811 BTC at an average near $80,800 per coin. It funded the purchases by selling common stock. The firm also spent $208 million of cash on a buyback of about 2 million STRC shares. Meanwhile, North Korea-linked hackers moved roughly $6.3 billion out of Binance in about 20 minutes, according to TRM Labs, and Bitcoin dipped to $76,600 as news spread. Saylor hinted at the purchases in a post, though the disclosure did not say whether they came during the drop. Binance has pledged to cover customer losses.
Why it matters: It shows a major treasury holder continuing to buy Bitcoin even as a large exchange breach rattled confidence in crypto security.
