The changes arrive as the project tries to lower the barriers to building on Pi and expand the practical utility of its ecosystem.

Dextape brief
The team behind Pi Network released four technical updates for developers and businesses, covering the Developer Portal, Pi BlockExplorer, SoloHost and PiVerify. According to a post published earlier this week, the redesigned Developer Portal groups domains, API keys, app wallets and privacy settings into one App Configuration section, simplifying navigation to services like Pi Sign-In and the Ad Network. The BlockExplorer change shows historical price data for Launchpad Testnet tokens such as SLICE against Test-Pi. The team said these assets will never move to Mainnet, so the feature mainly serves testing and education. A new SoloHost skill lets AI coding assistants generate configuration files for apps headed to Pi Desktop, and PiVerify added face-uniqueness and liveness checks for outside businesses.
Why it matters: The updates give developers simpler app setup and new identity checks for outside businesses, which may lower barriers to building on Pi ahead of its ecosystem summit.
